The Yale Center for Environmental Law and Policy, in collaboration with the Yale Center for the Study of Globalization, the Yale Center for International and Area Studies, and the Heinrich Böll Foundation convened an international workshop on Global Environmental Governance: The Post-Johannesburg Agenda. Former Mexican President Ernesto Zedillo, who now directs the Yale Center for the Study of Globalization hosted the opening event. The Institute for Environmental Security announced the release of its Consultation Paper and Moderator’s Review of Eco-Insurance for a Sustainable Future: A Contribution to the Johannesburg Plan of Implementation. from The Netherlands Ministry of Housing, Spatial Planning and the Environment. This next phase of the initiative will further develop concept s and ideas introduced in Phase I with the goal to secure support from a growing number of launch partners

Eco-Insurance Phase I
receives funding for preparation of Consultation Paper and Initial Consultations. The Institute for Environmental Security received confirmation that The Netherlands Ministry of Housing, Spatial Planning and the Environment will be co-financing Phase I of Eco-Insurance in a Sustainable Future.
